Spar chain launches the first branch in Israel

The chain intends to open a branch in Be'er Sheva by the end of the year and within 5 years - 35 branches. Israel is the 49th country where stores of the chain are opened.

Along with gimmicks such as a bowling alley with discounts for the next visit, a beer cave, a flower nursery and a chic cafe, the Spar network also tries to fight the cost of living with a shopping basket ranked by quality and price.

Among other things, pasta from Italy will be sold for NIS 6.90 per kilo, Persian rice 2 kg for NIS 9.90, potato chips 170 grams for NIS 8.90, chocolate hazelnut spread 750 grams for NIS 18.90 and toothpaste 75 ml for NIS 4.90.

The branch will include 750 private label products...
