    The Ministry of Defense debts to Israeli defense manufacturers recently exceeded the NIS 10 billion threshold and in response, "Globes" has learned, government owned Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems have halted dividend payments to the state. This is not an official decision that has been taken by the companies' boards but an ad hoc decision in response to the growing debt.

  • Israeli digital insurer Honeycomb raises $40m

    Israeli digital insurer Honeycomb Insurance, which specializes in apartment buildings and condo associations, today announced the completion of a $40 million financing round. The round was led by Zeev Ventures, with participation from existing investors Ibex Investors, and new investors Peakline, Alpha Partners, Meitar Partners, Practical VC, and former San Francisco 49ers NFL champion Harris Barton. This brings Honeycomb's total funding to date to $95 million.

  • Layoffs of low-paid workers skew average pay higher

    According to initial estimates by the Central Bureau of Statistics, the average monthly gross wage of Israeli workers in April this year was 4% higher than in April 2025, at NIS 14,409. This represents a decline in comparison with the average wage in March this year, when war with Iran broke out, which was NIS 15,921, 8.8% higher than in March 2025.
