Introducing Jaecoo, a new Chinese brand with non-electric crossovers

The company has received recognition that the brand will focus on gasoline models and Omoda that will also offer electric models, alongside gasoline and plug-in hybrids. Meanwhile, Freesbe (formerly Cros) will continue to import more popular Chery models, including electric ones

The first model to be launched is the J7, a five-seater crossover with an design reminiscent of Land Rover models, including a luxury marker with door handles embedded in the doors and retractable at the touch.

A turbo-gasoline engine of 1,600 cc with a power of 197 hp and a torque of 29 kgm, coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, provides acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds, and a combined fuel consumption of 13.3 km per liter relatively high.

A ground clearance of 20 cm and approach and departure angles of 21/29 degrees, along with a wading depth of 60 cm, are expected to provide good off-road capability above average in the category.
